A $200 deposit is required to guarantee your spot.
THIS DEPOSIT IS NON-REFUNDABLE!
One Exception: In the rare case that you would be selected as the recipient of a large scholarship that leaves you with a financial responsibility of less than $200, we will refund you the proper amount.
Our CANCELLATION POLICY is as follows:
Deposits are non-refundable and will be applied toward your total balance.
If you have chosen to to pay only the deposit with your registration (this happens automatically), your remaing balance is due on/ or before July 1, 2012. To submit this payment, resubmit the Registration Form and select the appropriate check out item [i.e. Tuition, and any applicable Room & Board fees, Camp CD, etc.].
Cancellation on or prior to July 01, 2012 will result in a refund of the paid balance MINUS the $200 deposit amount.
For cancellations after July 23, 2012 no refunds can be made as the camp will have committed your funds to the various parties involved at that point.
PLEASE NOTE: The prices listed in the 'checkout' section of our registration form, as they appear for the Camp Options: "Full Participation" [i.e. Tuition/ Camp Fee] and "Audit Only" [i.e. Audit Camp Fee] reflect the non-refundable $200 deposit that will automatically be charged with your Registration. This deposit will be applied to your total.
Examples:
[A]
If you complete the registration without checking any items at checkout, you will still be prompted to submit payment information for the $200 deposit - we will receive your registration and your spot will be secured.
[B] If you select 'Full Participation' and check the 'Tuition/Camp Fee' checkbox (which indicates $389), you will be charged for the $200 deposit AND the $389 for the remainder of the tuition rate for a $589 total.
Please beware: To make the most of your experience, you will be asked to prepare two jazz standards or similar selections for the 1:1 sessions, as well your 'Open Mic Sessions.' Check out the 'downloads' page for suggestions for more.
However, No Audition is require to attend the camp, participation is first come - first serve.
Camp CD: This CD will feature the final Camp Ensembles Concert and possibly other select material from the camp TBD.
Shared meals: We highly recommend that you partake in these events that are part of the shared schedule for all campers: Monday evening's 'Welcome Dinner' / Saturday's shared lunch / Saturday's Dinner - AND - Sunday's Brunch - our 'Closing Ceremony.' [Please see the schedule for more information.]
We STRONGLY recommend you being part of the 'shared meals' as they are an important part of the camp experience.
Auditing the camp means: You can sit in on all classes, but are not able to receive individual solo coachings from members of New York Voices or participate in a camp ensemble. The audit option is intended for those who prefer to participate on a limited basis, or to allow camp participation for those who were unable to reserve a spot before the camp's slots for full participation filled up. Full participation is highly recommended! In the past, virtually all of the campers felt that the solo coachings and ensemble participation were two of the most valuable aspects of the camp.
