Solo / 1:1 tune suggestions:

You will be asked to prepare two tune selections, preferrably jazz standards, for your 1:1 sessions with one of the NYVoices and your Open Mic Session.

You must provide four leadsheets to the musicians working with you.

If you are not sure where to get a leadsheet - you may select one of the tunes below - we can provide a leadsheet to you. Keep in mind that these tunes can be done in any key (whatever best suits your voice). It is recommended that you listen to numerous jazz recordings of the tunes you choose, some vocal and some instrumental. This should give you ideas for phrasing, tempo, style, etc. (Just go to YouTube and dig in!)
